Have said it before and I’ll say it again - the colors of celebrated pop artist Romero Britto seem to skip, run, wiggle, dance and simply throb. They’re bold, vibrant and happy colors. It’s impossible for either children or adults to look at his work without smiling.
Lucky for youngsters that with BRITTO COLOR PLAY he has turned his attention to an interactive format that young ones will enjoy over and over again (Of course, parents will, too).
The book, which contains 12 play pieces, opens with a few words from Colorful Cow: “It’s a beautiful sunny day - but some of our colors have gone away! Can you help us?” As we see him the cow is purple, pink, orange, and blue - readers are invited to use the play pieces to add even more colors. Doing so gives free rein to imaginations as well as grins to faces.
Next we meet Polka Dot Pig, Holly the Horse, a birdhouse and much more because this is a farm quite unlike any other.
Pieces may be used over and over again in different places as all exercise their creative abilities. Much fun!
