The Christmas Note - Audio Edition
While this story certainly has a holiday setting the emphasis is on
love and generosity which will warm hearts at any time. The audio edition is especially affecting as read by the author, Donna VanLiere, who also gave us the Christmas Hope series.
Gretchen Daniels and Melissa McCreary are neighbors. However, the chances of the two becoming friends or getting together for a cup of coffee are remote - they are very different women. Melissa had a miserable childhood, and is estranged from her only living relative, her mother. On the other hand, Gretchen had a wonderful upbringing. She now has two children and her husband is serving in Afghanistan. She has returned to her hometown to be close to her parents.
When Gretchen learns that Melissa’s mother has died and she must clean out her mother’s apartment, Gretchen offers to help. Little did she dream what she would find in the apartment or that two women who appeared to have absolutely nothing in common could become close.
Many will be adding this audio to their list of favorite holiday stories.
