A Multi-Layered Mystery Plus Recipes!
Katherine Hall Page may not have even imagined what a winning combination she had hit upon when outlining her first Faith Fairchild mystery - but readers certainly did. The Agatha winning series has just published its 20th installment, and its fan base continues to grow. Rightly so - who doesn’t love a mystery and also love to eat?
Page’s heroine, Faith Fairchild, is a sometimes sleuth and caterer who can’t resist a mystery or dishing up delectables. Happily for readers recipes are included as well as detailed, mouth-watering descriptions of food as the fast-paced story opens and suspense mounts.
With The Body In The Boudoir we’re taken back to 1990 when Faith is still a single gal running her much-in-demand catering service, Have Faith. She is close to her sister, Hope, has terrific friends, a cool apartment and every thing she could want - she thinks. This changes when she caters a wedding reception and meets Rev. Tom Fairchild - “...handsome - tall, rusty-brown hair, deep brown eyes, yes, with those little flecks of gold.”
Well even if we haven’t read any of the preceding Fairchild mysteries we know from page one where this meeting is headed. What we would never dream is how rocky the road to the altar would be. Which, of course, is part of the fun in Page’s books. So join in as chimneys fall, Faith hangs onto a rocky ledge with her fingernails, helps her sister when Hope is the target of a malicious scheme, and solves a major problem for her assistant, Francesca.
The mystery is multi-layered and the food is great in The Body In The Boudoir.
Enjoy!
