DEAR LADY by Robin Lee Hatcher Audio Edition

If you like historical romances best you get in line for this one!    Dear Lady is Book One in the Coming to America series created by Robin Lee Hatcher.  The series will feature three very different women who come to America to begin new lives for themselves.  Set in the late 1800s and early 1900s readers will find a bit of history, some mystery and, of course, love.

Book One introduces Beth Wellington who came from England to the big sky country of Montana - what a change!  As she writes to a friend the Montana town, New Prospects, is both beautiful and terrifying at the same time.  Such wide open spaces, an incredible sky!  Beth as she tells it has had the good fortune of becoming the town’s schoolmistress.  A very special student is young Janie Steele, and even more special in Beth’s eyes is the girl’s father, Garret Steele.

It is not surprising that Beth finds herself drawn to him rather than to the mayor who seeks her attention.  It seems that Beth has made the journey from England to escape a man she hated only to find herself falling in love with a man who cannot forget his late wife.  However, sometimes what is thought past and forgotten resurfaces to alter the present.

Listeners will be eager to hear what happens to Beth in her new world.

Pam Ward delivers an understanding and pleasing reading of Beth’s story.
