How exciting it is to find a spectacular new product line! Thus, I’m pretty much over the top to have come across Sponge. Yes, that’s the name of this hand-blended totally satisfying skin care collection that originated in Greece some 30 years ago. According to the owner of Sponge, Marcos Lambros Drakotos, the name was inspired by the organic sponges cultivated on the Greek island of Symi and is reflective of the natural bond between people and the land. Let me just say it is amazing.
As some may know, I’m an advocate of natural products and Sponge is made with nutrient filled first-pressed extra-virgin olive oil. I’m currently using Krema Triantafillo (Rose + Sage Cream), a salubrious plant-rich facial cream that deeply hydrates skin, strengthens, and protects it. The cream is immediately absorbed by leaving skin ready for makeup in the morning, and ready for bed at night. One more bounty from a beautiful Greek island!
