ROMANCE/SUSPENSE = GOOD LISTENING

Well remembered for her sterling voice performances of Bed of Roses, Call After Midnight, and many others actor/improviser Angela Dawe delivers another don’t-want-to-miss-a-word reading of  DANGER IN A RED DRESS.

RITA Award winner Christina Dodd has taken one of our favorite subjects - a missing fortune - and crafted a blend of suspense and romance that will keep listeners guessing until the last syllable.  Hannah Grey needs a job, really badly, so she is more than happy to become a care giver for Melinda,  Carrick Manly’s elderly mother.  The setting isn’t very welcoming - a mansion on the chill Maine coast called Balfour House.   And, the prospect of losing her job isn’t very welcome either - but that’s the case when she refuses to tell Carrick everything his mother says.

However, that doesn’t stop Carrick - he’s so bent on finding out whether or not his mother knows where his father hid millions of dollars of stolen money that he hires Gabriel Prescott to wire Balfour House.  It’s not long before Gabriel begins to wonder exactly what he’s gotten himself into.  Hannah wonders the same thing when on her deathbed Melinda gives Hannah information about her offshore account.  That’s deadly information as Hannah is soon running for her life.

Those who enjoyed Dodd’s Fortune Hunters and Lost Texas Hearts won’t want to miss this one!
