History Buffs Will Relish The Latest From Steve Berry

There are a few voice performers so admired that just their name on an audio book causes it to be purchased - one of those names is Scott Brick. He’s a top favorite among audiobook aficionados and with good reason. As has been said of him, “” He seems to have an intuitive ear for the authorial voice, an uncanny ability to portray the personality of the author as well as those of his characters.” Treat yourself to this stellar reading of THE JEFFERSON KEY.

Now, just as Brick is an outstanding narrator, Steve Berry is a stellar author (The Emperor’s Tomb, The Paris Vendetta, The Romanov Prophecy). In his seventh Cotton Malone novel Berry grabs listeners with a powerful opening: Just after the former Justice Department operative is called to New York by his former boss Malone is on the spot to foil an assassination attempt upon the U.S. President.

Then with the ingenuity for which he’s known Berry dives into presidential history by revealing a cipher once in the hands of Thomas Jefferson, utilized by Andrew Jackson, and hidden for 175 years. Malone finds himself at odds with the Commonwealth, a secret society that first met during the American Revolution. Apparently there are old documents containing information relevant to the wealth and power of the Commonwealth.

While all will enjoy history buffs in particular will take pleasure in the intriguing twists and turns taken in attempting to take possession of those papers.
