APPRENTICE IN DEATH by J. D. Robb Audio Edition

It happened so quickly as many random shootings do,  but seldom has there been one like this.  The site is the Central Park ice skating rink, and the victims are a talented young skater, a doctor and a teacher.  Evidently there is no connection between the unfortunate trio, which may give a new name to “random” shooting.  Following all too soon is another shooting spree - this time in Times Square and five are dead, one of them a New York cop.  While Eve takes all of her cases seriously this one really hits home.

Security videos reveal that the victims were killed with a tactical laser rifle fired by a sniper who could have been miles away.  The shooter’s location could have been anywhere, however the number of people skillful enough to use that weapon narrows the field.  Was he or she police, among the military or a professional killer?

Fortunately Eve’s husband is not only super intelligent but has almost unlimited resources at his disposal.  When his computer program leads Eve to an East Side hotel room that probably belongs to the shooter she is shocked at what she finds.

Apprentice In Death is one more fast-paced, suspenseful tale from J. D. Robb with a superb narration by Susan Ericksen.

    Enjoy!
